My name is Jaime!
I am a passionate animal care professional with a strong foundation in behavior, training, and hands-on experience with a wide variety of species. I hold a Master Dog Trainer certification from Highland Canine School for Dog Trainers (2025) and a Bachelor’s degree in Animal Behavior from Penn State (2023). Beyond formal education, my most important qualification is my genuine love for animals.
I have had the joy of caring for and learning from many types of animals, including horses, donkeys, dogs, cats, fish, guinea pigs, hamsters, and rabbits. This diverse experience has given me a deep appreciation for the unique personalities, behaviors, and needs of all animals.
My professional experience spans a wide spectrum of training and care. I have worked with “low-energy” breeds such as English Bulldogs, as well as high-drive dogs, including Belgian Malinois trained for narcotics and detection work. I am skilled in administering both oral and topical medications across species, including cats, dogs, and small mammals. I have experience helping with pets with cancer, FIV and FELV felines, and an abundance of other medical complications. I have worked with animals of all ages.
I am the owner of Canine Compass LLC, a professional dog training business based in South Central Pennsylvania. Through this work, I have helped pets and their owners navigate challenges such as aggression, fear, and anxiety. I understand that some pets need extra patience, trust-building, and tailored guidance to thrive—and I am committed to providing that support!
At the heart of my philosophy is a simple belief: no pet is “bad.” Every animal deserves love, understanding, and attention. My goal is to provide the care, training, and companionship your furry friend deserves while keeping their well-being and happiness at the forefront.
